Are you a medical provider feeling a bit unsteady communicating in the realm of women's health?

Are you an experienced provider who would love to expand your current primary care skillset to include women's health but feel unsure of how to have the tough conversations?

Do you wish you could take your practice from basic patient complaints, and treatments to the point of authentic relationships and deep connections?

I believe that every day in practice is an opportunity to make the maximum positive health impact all while building bonds. Bringing your best self to the exam room is the first step.

I remember being a new Nurse Practitioner and believing that my patients were simply coming to me for an answer to their problem or a medication to solve their physical concern.

The truth is that it was ME they were coming to see. Experience has taught me that patients want more than a solution, they want a connection with YOU!

Let's work together to hone your medical craft and learn to discuss sensitive issues by becoming a more effective therapeutic communicator in the women’s health setting.

What Is "Narrative Medicine?"

Rita Charon described Narrative Medicine as a method of using what she calls "narrative competence," which is "the capacity to recognize, absorb, metabolize, interpret, and be moved by stories of illness."

Narrative Medicine is a relatively new field requiring more in depth study. Narrative Medicine however has no better home than in the women's health clinical setting.

Hi, I’m Lisa

I love when patients tell me that they have something to say but it "might be TMI" or "a little strange," because it means I am doing my job well. I have spent decades talking to women and learning what works to both put my patients at ease and build trust. These "TMI" moments are where the magic happens. When patients trust you they share details that allow you to provide superior care and improve health outcomes.

It's time for YOU to get comfortable talking about women’s health in your own clinical care setting and I am here to help.
